The Westland for Ukraine Foundation has committed itself to making bicycles available for refugees from Ukraine.
A call from the foundation has not gone unnoticed! For example, the rotary clubs Westland, Westland-Polanen and Wateringen have collected second-hand bicycles. These were then refurbished by students of the ISW Vakcollege in Naaldwijk. In May, the first bicycle was handed over to Anastasia and her son, who fled from Kiev to Westland a month and a half ago.
Within an hour all bicycles had been distributed, after which the recipients made a test round. Most refugees stay in the Fletcher Carlton Hotel in Naaldwijk, in the residential park for migrant workers opposite the furniture boulevard of Naaldwijk and at beach park Vlugtenburg in 's-Gravenzande. Refugees who have not yet received a bicycle have been put on a waiting list. If you still have a bicycle left, you can leave it at the ISW Vakcollege.
